Secretary of State welcomes face-to-face talks about north Belfast parades

The Orange Order has agreed to meet a nationalist residents' group ahead of a 12 July parade

In response to the local lodges agreeing to meet the Crumlin and Ardoyne Residents Association (CARA), Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Rt Hon Theresa Villiers MP said:

“I strongly welcome any constructive talks on sensitive issues like parading. I am convinced that the best possible solution to these issues is local engagement and local agreement.”
