Divorce, Dissolution and Separation Bill [HL]
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill changes UK divorce law to allow couples to divorce without blaming each other for the breakdown of the marriage. Currently, one partner must prove the other did something wrong (like adultery). The new rules would let couples divorce simply by saying the marriage has broken down, making the process less bitter and confrontational.
Presented by Lord Keen of Elie.
