Animal Welfare (Sentencing) Bill

This bill increases the maximum penalties (prison time and fines) that courts can give to people found guilty of serious animal cruelty offences like causing unnecessary suffering to pets or farm animals. It aims to make the legal consequences more severe for the worst cases of animal abuse.
