This bill would allow police officers to carry out drug tests on drivers at the side of the road, similar to breath tests for alcohol. The goal is to catch drivers who are impaired by drugs and prevent accidents, giving law enforcement a new tool to test for illegal drugs and certain prescription medications that affect driving ability.
