Freedom of Speech (Universities) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill aims to protect freedom of speech at UK universities by requiring them to actively promote debate and protect speakers from being cancelled or blocked. It would give universities legal responsibilities to allow different viewpoints to be heard, even controversial ones, though there would likely be limits on things like hate speech or violence.
Presented by Mr David Davis.
