Local Authorities (Removal of Council Tax Restrictions) Bill

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill would remove the legal limits that currently cap how much councils can raise council tax each year. Currently, councils need government approval to increase council tax by more than a certain amount; this bill would let them make their own decisions about tax increases without these restrictions.

Presented by Mr Christopher Chope.
