Strategic Litigation Against Public Participation (Freedom of Expression) Bill [HL]

[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to

This bill aims to stop 'SLAPP suits' expensive legal cases filed mainly to intimidate and silence critics rather than to win in court. It would give courts the power to quickly dismiss these cases and protect campaigners, journalists, and ordinary people who speak out on matters of public interest.

Presented by Lord Thomas of Gresford.
