Climate Finance Fund (Fossil Fuels and Pollution) Bill
[As Introduced]
A
BILL
to
This bill would establish a dedicated Climate Finance Fund to redirect money away from fossil fuel subsidies and pollutionrelated spending toward climate action and clean energy investment. The fund would be financed by removing or reducing government financial support for oil, gas, and coal industries, and by reallocating money currently spent managing pollutionrelated health and environmental costs. The bill aims to accelerate the UK's transition to renewable energy while reducing the hidden costs of fossil fuel dependence on the NHS, environment, and economy.
Presented by Richard Burgon.
