UK Parliament · Commons Division 14 · 29 October 2019
312 Aye / 295 No · majority 17 · 4 tellers (not counted)
A Business of the House motion governs how the Commons orders its time, including which days are given over to which sorts of debate. The government tables most of these; they pass routinely but are sometimes used to short-circuit opposition procedural objections.
Totals are Parliament’s official count, which does not include the tellers. Parliament’s published list names 313 of the 312 Aye voters and 295 of the 295 No voters; tellers are listed and marked but not counted.
