Nick Goodwin is currently the Director General for Legal Aid, Civil, Family, Administrative and International Justice Policy. Prior to this role, Nick served as Chief Executive of HM Courts and Tribunals Service from March 2022 to August 2026, having previously been the Chief Executive and Public Guardian in the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) from July 2019. Before joining the OPG, Nick was director for Access to Justice policy at the Ministry of Justice. Prior to joining the Civil Service, Nick worked as a Solicitor.
