Satvir Kaur was appointed jointly Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Equalities) in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, and Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State in the Home Office on 22 July 2026.

She was previously Parliamentary Secretary in the Cabinet Office between 7 September 2025 and 22 July 2026.

She was elected as the MP for Southampton Test in July 2024.

Satvir was on maternity leave from 7 September 2025 until 22 February 2026, with a phased return from January 2026.
