    description
Public Health Wales is procuring an experienced external partner to operationalise and administer a two-year, time-limited competitive grants programme for Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations. Funded via the statutory gambling levy, this initiative acts as a transitional bridge to sustain essential prevention capacity within the third sector while permanent statutory public health infrastructure is established across Wales. The programme aims to maintain crucial community reach into populations not routinely accessed by statutory services, while generating systematic evidence to inform future commissioning. Public Health Wales retains final decision-making authority over all funding allocations and will issue grant payments directly to successful applicants based on the partner's recommendations. The appointed partner is responsible for the end-to-end operational delivery of the grant lifecycle. Key responsibilities include hosting and maintaining a secure online application portal, distributing marketing materials, managing an Expression of Interest process, and running applicant webinars. The partner will also coordinate the assessment panel by managing scoring, moderation, and conflict-of-interest declarations. Following panel recommendations, the administrator will conduct robust pre-award and post-award due diligence, manage the execution of grant agreements, and handle all applicant communications, including feedback, complaints, and appeals. Ongoing duties involve supporting funded organisations, monitoring six-monthly progress reports, and producing a final programme-level summary report.A strict requirement of this contract is absolute bilingual compliance, meaning all applicant-facing systems, materials, webinars, and communications must be delivered to an equivalent standard in both English and Welsh, fully aligning with the Welsh Government’s statutory Welsh language standards. Additionally, all digital infrastructure must strictly comply with UK GDPR. Funded activities under this programme are restricted entirely to preventative public health interventions—such as public awareness campaigns, targeted high-risk cohort actions, and community outreach—with clinical treatment and crisis response initiatives explicitly excluded from the scope.

    description
Worcestershire County Council currently commission 12 extra care schemes across Worcestershire in partnership with the Housing Providers. In some schemes, the housing provider and the care provider are separate organisations, while in others, the housing provider also delivers the onsite care. An Extra Care Scheme is designed for individuals, typically aged 55 and over, and it combines independent living with access to 24/7 support and care services. It provides self-contained accommodation and offers additional services such as personal care and domestic assistance tailored to the individual’s needs. The goal is to maintain independence and quality of life by ensuring necessary support is readily available. The model integrates housing management, 24/7 support and care and is key for people to live the most independent and best life they can. There are two specific areas of support: 1. Onsite care for individuals - this is personal care which everyone who lives in the scheme may or may not need. This personal care tends to be the needs assessed by Adult Social Care. 2. Core support – this is for people living within the scheme which is a combination of housing, support and domiciliary care. This core support is available to everyone living within the extra care scheme. It is low level support to help people maintain their tenancy, to access opportunities within the scheme and in the wider local community such as leisure activities, social networking, or lifelong learning. The Council is seeking a supplier to provide the two specific areas of support above at one of its extra care schemes at Gilbert Court.

The STEP Fuel Cycle (FC) system requires advanced technologies for hydrogen separation and recovery. The aim of this investigation is to demonstrate the manufacturability of palladium silver membrane assemblies. This will be achieved through conducting annealing trials, brazing trails, and diffusion bonding trials. The effect of these processes on the alloy and its properties will be evaluated through microstructural characterisation and hardness testing, respectively. These techniques will then be used to manufacture membrane assemblies which will be inspected and delivered to UKFE for subsequent testing. The objectives of this investigation are to conduct the following: 1. Tube characterisation, characterise and test the different batches of palladium silver membrane tubes, including microscopy and hardness testing, as received. 2. Annealing trials, refine and execute the process control variables for the annealing of the palladium silver membrane tubes. The effects of annealing on the alloy shall be characterised via microscopy and hardness testing. 3. Brazing trials, refine and execute the process control variables for the brazing of palladium silver membrane tubes to steel fittings. 4. Diffusion bonding trials, develop and execute the process control variables for the diffusion bonding of palladium silver membrane tubes to steel fittings. 5. Destructive testing, to complete the manufacture, inspection, and destructive testing of brazed and diffusion bonded assemblies.
