    description
The CUH Blood Sciences Biochemical Genetics Unit is looking to replace a high sensitivity Triple Quadrupole Tandem Mass Spectrometer (TMS) coupled to an ultra-high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) system. This system runs 10 methods including newborn blood spot analysis that were developed either in-house or in conjunction with suppliers. The Blood Sciences labs currently have four Sciex triple quadrupole tandem mass spectrometers (TMS) linked to Shimadzu or Sciex (Exion) liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems. This includes the system that we are replacing. The combined laboratories currently process around 120,000 samples a year through the four LC-Tandem Mass Spectrometer systems. Results generated from the systems are from technically/clinically validated methods and are used for diagnosis of endocrine and metabolic disorders, as well as for neonatal screening tests. The replacement system must be capable of quantitation of a range of metabolites in human serum, urine and blood spot and therefore must be capable of using Chemoview to quantitate the newborn screening blood spot assays. Some of the analytes are at nmol/L concentrations in human serum e.g. urine matanepherine, so a high sensitivity system is essential. The TMS - HPLC system must have the following critical elements: TMS - The TMS must have multiple modes of operation including multiple reaction monitoring and scan modes. Scan modes must include precursor ion scan, product ion scan, neutral loss scan. - The TMS must be capable of Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionisation (APCI) and electrospray (ESI) ionisation modes with proven use of APCI for clinical hormone analyses. - The TMS must be capable of positive and negative modes. - The TMS must be capable of polarity switching within a sample acquisition run with a minimum settling time of 5msec between polarities. - The TMS must accept a fluid flow rate from 5µL/min to 3000µL/min, without flow splitting. - To allow for future development needs the TMS must have an option to be upgraded to a linear ion trap system that will provide additional scan modes such as MRM3, Enhanced Product Ion Scan. - The TMS must have an integral infusion pump under full control of the system software to allow infusion rates up to 30µL/min to allow compound tuning and for ion suppression testing. - The TMS control software must be compatible with multi-vendor HPLC systems e.g. Shimadzu, Agilent, Waters. - The system must be capable of the self-generation of all gases required for routine use (i.e. no requirement for a gas cylinder in the lab). - A suitable roughing pump must be supplied. This must be an oil-free pump. - Results must be able to be exported in .txt format to allow uploading to our current hospital information system. - Current methods in use in the Biochemical Genetics Unit must be directly transferrable without the need for re-development. HPLC - The HPLC system must have the ability of a dual binary pump arrangement allowing pressures up to 10,000PSI. This setup is to allow online solid phase extraction using 2-position valves. - There must be a minimum of 4 solvent lines per pump with inline degassers. If binary pumps are proposed, there must be 4 solvent lines for each side of the binary pump. The LC must have the ability to switch to different solvent input lines, analytical columns without operator intervention to allow running of multiple assays to be processed consecutively. - The HPLC autosampler must be capable of injecting from 1 to 50µL. - The HPLC autosampler must have at least six positions for plate/vials and must be able to inject from 96 shallow well plates, 96 deep well plates and vials. It must be capable of using these in combination without changing hardware configuration. - The column oven must have an operating temperature range of 5 to 85°C. - The column oven and must be able to accommodate six analytical columns of 25cm length. - The column oven must be able to accommodate and drive 2, 7-port 6-position valves to allow switching between columns and therefore multiplexing of analytical methods. - The system must be able to drive 3 2-position 6-port valves independently to allow sequential running of different methods.

    description
Bishopshalt School: We aim to be a self-improving school, in which all members of our community can say we provide our children with an outstanding education that fulfils their potential. Bishopshalt opened in 1907 when Middlesex County Council established Uxbridge County School (our original name). The school now occupies the site and grounds of a former Victorian mansion and its name was taken from the house where, for 500 years, the Bishops of Worcester rested or halted in their own property while making frequent trips to and from London. Bishopshalts story is one of continuing growth and success; at first, as a grammar school and, since 1977 as a comprehensive school. Much of the main part of the school building dates from the 1950s when the school grew to take four forms of entry each year. It has been a popular local secondary school and in the 1970s expansion to five forms of entry brought another building programme. Following the high demand for places, further growth took place in 1989 when the first six forms of entry arrived. An important ingredient in achieving growth and success is the quality of the teachers. Further information regarding the School can be obtained here: https://www.bishopshalt.hillingdon.sch.uk/ Tender information: The successful tenderer will be required to provide excellent cleaning services at Bishopshalt School, which has 1290 pupils and 114 teaching and support staff. The contract term being tendered for 3 years, from 01/08/2026 – 31/07/2029. There is an option for a further extension period for up to two additional years to 31/07/2031. The contract offers an excellent opportunity to review and propose enhancements to the current cleaning services at the school. This includes both core term time cleaning and periodic deep cleaning throughout the year. The school is keen to secure a high quality cleaning service whereby its students are able to enjoy excellence in education, supported by excellently kept facilities. Cleaning services here are currently delivered in house and therefore the school has a keen focus on ensuring a smooth TUPE transfer process for the current in house staff. The school expects both a tightly managed service and high levels of productivity to be delivered by the cleaning staff at all times, and the school expects a management style delivered by the successful contractor that supports, encourages and develops the cleaning staff. Bishopshailt School views its cleaning provider and their staff as integral members of the school community who serve as a proactive set of eyes and ears across the site. Beyond the essential cleaning scope, personnel are expected to take ownership of the environment by identifying and immediately reporting maintenance issues, such as faulty locks or plumbing leaks, to the site team to mitigate potential safety hazards before they escalate. We demand the same high level of robust safeguarding and child safety awareness from our outsourced partners as we do from our own directly employed staff, ensuring a secure and protective environment for every student. This commitment to safety extends to the technical execution of their duties, where staff must demonstrate advanced health and safety knowledge and maintain safe working practices at all times. The ideal service delivery achieves a delicate balance where the cleaning team remains discreet and invisible, yet remains exemplary in both conduct and appearance whenever they are visible to students, staff, or visitors. Ultimately, Bishopshalt School requires a partner with a proven track record of proficiency and unwavering reliability to ensure these high standards are met consistently every day. The school is not obliged to accept the lowest price submitted for this tender, rather the school is keen to secure best value from this contract and to deliver best value to its students. Innovative and creative ideas as to how the cleaning services can be developed and improved, will be welcomed. The school seeks a contractor that is keen to work in partnership and who will deliver to its highest abilities, at all times. Competitive Flexible Procedure This procurement will be run under the Competitive Flexible Procedure. This will follow a two stage approach, with stage 1 being the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ). Here a minimum of 5 candidates (or less, in the event less than 5 meet the minimum criteria) and a maximum of 10 candidates, will progress to stage 2. Any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement and a minimum score of 60% must be achieved. Selected tenderers will then be invited to stage 2, the Invitation To Tender (ITT). Here, the evaluation of tender response will be set as 35% price and 65% quality. Value of contract: The annual value of the current contract is £240,000 Therefore, the value of this contract is £1,200,000 The contract shall be a fixed price contract with invoices raised monthly to the school. Additional requirements and information: •The school has a minimum requirement for a contractor’s employers liability and public liability insurances of £5 million •The minimum annual turnover that your company must have achieved to be considered for this opportunity is £1 million •There are incumbent cleaning staff currently within the Local Government Pension Scheme •The cleaning services are currently run in house •The client reserves the right not to appoint in conclusion to this tender project

Co-op Academies Trust: Co-op Academies Trust, founded in 2010 is a group of schools across the North of England doing things differently. Made up of Primary, Secondary, Special and Colleges we operate under the belief that by raising aspirations, offering a leading education alongside forward thinking experiences and opportunities outside of the classroom, we can develop tomorrow’s leaders and help communities. Further information regarding the Trust can be obtained here: https://www.coopacademies.co.uk/ The Trust is tendering the fully managed lettings services for one of its schools, as below: Co-op Academy Stoke-on-Trent: We will deliver an exceptional education to all children and commit to achieving the very best outcomes. We will do this by ensuring a laser sharp focus on standards, in all senses of the word. This is how we will demonstrate our unrelenting ambition for every young person. Our decision-making will place children at the core, making sure we do the things today that will secure their futures. In turn, we will enhance the life chances of our young people, ensure that they have the best opportunities, and can realise their ambitions. Further information regarding the School can be obtained here: https://www.stokeontrent.coopacademies.co.uk/ Tender information: The successful tenderer will be required to provide an efficient and effective fully managed letting services for the Co-op Academy Stoke on Trent which has 1300 pupils and 120 teaching and support staff. The contract term being tendered is for three years, 1st September 2026 – 31st August 2029. There is an option for a further extension period for up to two additional years to 31st August 2031. The contract offers an excellent opportunity to review and propose enhancements to the current letting services at the schools. The school seeks to increase income streams and ensure the commercial viability of lettings by maximising all assets and actively promoting all facilities. A consistent, professional approach to lettings management is required, aiming to increase income, maintain and enhance the school’s reputation, deliver a positive social impact, strengthen community engagement and potentially to attract new pupils. The school is not obliged to accept the best financial offer submitted for this tender, rather the school is keen to secure best value. Creative ideas as to how the lettings activity can be developed, improved and maximised, will be welcomed. The school seeks a contractor that is keen to work in partnership with them and who will deliver to its highest abilities, at all times. Competitive Flexible Procedure This procurement will be run under the Competitive Flexible Procedure. This will follow a two stage approach, with stage 1 being the Procurement Specific Questionnaire (PSQ). Any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement and a minimum score of 60% must be achieved. Selected tenderers will then be invited to stage 2, the Invitation To Tender (ITT). Here, the evaluation of tender response will be set as 50% price and 50% quality. Additional requirements and information: •The school has a minimum requirement for a contractor’s employers' liability and public liability insurances of £5 million •The minimum annual turnover that your company must have achieved to be considered for this opportunity is £300,000 •The lettings services are currently contracted to Schools Plus
